Support

Contact Us

Duelly Sorted is still an early product, so the fastest route for feedback, support requests, bug reports, partnership ideas, or category suggestions is email.

Email

Email us at help@duellysorted.com and we will route it to the right place.

If you are reporting a problem, include the category you were using, the device or browser, and what went wrong. That makes it much easier to reproduce and fix.

  • General support and feedback
  • Category suggestions
  • Bug reports and ranking issues
  • Content concerns or rights-related questions

What To Expect

This is a small independent project, so replies may not be instant, but every genuine message is read.

If your message is about a broken page, missing image, privacy concern, or accessibility barrier, say that clearly in the subject line so it can be prioritised.

Using Duelly Sorted

Help

Duelly Sorted is built to make ranking easier. Instead of writing a full list from scratch, you choose winners in head-to-head matchups and the site builds your order over time.

How Ranking Works

Each category contains a set of items. You are shown faceoffs and pick the one you prefer.

As you make decisions, Duelly Sorted updates the standings and gradually builds a leaderboard that reflects your choices.

  • The more matchups you complete, the more stable your ranking becomes.
  • Leaderboards can change as more results come in.
  • Some categories are live now and others are still being prepared.

Groups And Shared Ranking

You can rank on your own or as part of a group. Group mode is designed for friend groups, communities, or shared debates where everyone wants to see how the overall ranking settles.

If you switch between pages, the site tries to keep your current group context in place so you do not have to keep rejoining.

User Submissions

Community Content

Duelly Sorted now includes user-submitted category suggestions and community features. This section explains the basic rules for content you submit and how moderation works.

What You Can Submit

Logged-in users may suggest categories, item lists, tags, image links, and related community content for review. Some approved categories may be public, while others may be kept private and only shared by direct link.

Submission does not guarantee publication. Categories may be edited for clarity, consistency, metadata quality, safety, or legal reasons before they go live, and some may be declined entirely.

Your Responsibilities

Only submit content, image links, names, or descriptions that you have the right to submit and that do not infringe copyright, trade marks, privacy, publicity, or other rights.

Do not submit unlawful, abusive, misleading, defamatory, pornographic, or harmful material, and do not include personal data about another person unless you have a proper right to do so.

  • Do not impersonate people or communities.
  • Do not submit spam, malicious links, or misleading metadata.
  • Do not use the submission flow to harass, abuse, or target others.

Moderation And Takedowns

Duelly Sorted may review, refuse, edit, unlist, or remove submitted content at any time. We may also suspend access to community features where abuse, legal risk, or safety concerns arise.

If you believe a live category, image, or other submission infringes your rights or should be removed, email help@duellysorted.com with the page URL, the material complained about, and the reason for the request.

Copyright, Fair Dealing, And Complaints

Because Duelly Sorted is operated in the UK, copyright questions are considered under UK law. In the UK there are limited copyright exceptions, often described as fair dealing, but they are narrow and fact-specific. A user saying something is “fair use” or “fair dealing” does not automatically make it lawful.

If you are a rights holder or authorised representative and want material reviewed or removed, email help@duellysorted.com with the page URL, the content complained about, your name and contact details, why you believe the use is not authorised, and any supporting links or evidence that help identify the original work.

We may remove or disable access to complained-about material while we review it, ask for further information, or contact the submitting user where appropriate.

Terms Of Use

Terms of Use

These terms explain the main rules for using Duelly Sorted, including voting, groups, accounts, and user-submitted content, while the product is still evolving.

Using The Site

Duelly Sorted is provided as an interactive entertainment and opinion-sharing website. Rankings, results, and leaderboards are subjective and should not be treated as factual endorsements or formal advice.

You agree to use the site lawfully and not attempt to interfere with the service, manipulate results unfairly, scrape protected areas, or abuse any group or voting feature.

  • Do not attempt to disrupt or overload the service.
  • Do not use automated methods to falsify votes or rankings.
  • Do not use the site for unlawful, abusive, or harmful activity.

User Content And Permissions

If you submit category suggestions, images, descriptions, tags, or other materials to Duelly Sorted, you remain responsible for that content and confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit it.

By submitting content to Duelly Sorted, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to review, store, format, moderate, reproduce, and display that content as needed to operate, promote, improve, or remove the relevant feature or category.

Moderation And Enforcement

We may review, refuse, edit, unpublish, or remove content, groups, accounts, or categories where we believe this is necessary for safety, quality, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or site operation.

We may also preserve or disclose information where reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, enforce these terms, protect rights, or comply with a legal obligation.

Content And Availability

Categories, images, copy, and features may change, move, or be removed without notice while the product is being developed.

We aim to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, complete accuracy, or permanent availability of any category, ranking, or page.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any dispute relating to these terms or your use of Duelly Sorted will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Privacy Notice

Privacy

This notice explains what personal data Duelly Sorted uses, why it is used, and the main choices and rights available to people using the site.

Who Runs Duelly Sorted

Duelly Sorted is operated by a UK-based solo developer as an independent website and community project. For data protection purposes, Duelly Sorted is the controller of the personal data it decides how to use for the site.

If you have a privacy question, rights request, or concern about how data is being used, email help@duellysorted.com.

What We Collect

When you use Duelly Sorted, the site may store session-related identifiers, votes, skips, group context, standard server log information, and account details where you register for an account.

If you use community features, we may also store the content you submit for moderation, publication, abuse prevention, and support handling. The site also uses Google Analytics, and where enabled may use Google AdSense and related consent tools.

  • Session and group identifiers
  • Voting and skip activity linked to a session key
  • Account details such as email address, username, verification state, and login history
  • Category suggestions and related moderation records
  • Technical usage data such as browser and page requests
  • Analytics data provided through Google Analytics
  • Advertising and consent signals where Google advertising products are enabled

Why We Use It

We use this information to run the site, maintain rankings, keep accounts and groups working, review and moderate submissions, prevent abuse, answer support requests, improve the service, and where enabled manage analytics, advertising, and consent compliance.

Where UK data protection law requires a legal basis, we generally rely on legitimate interests to operate and secure the service, contract where you use account features we provide to you, and consent where that is required for non-essential cookies or advertising technologies.

Sharing And Publication

Some information is shared with service providers that help run the site, such as hosting, analytics, email delivery, and where enabled Google advertising and consent tooling. We do not sell personal data as a standalone business model.

If a category suggestion is approved, the submitted category name, descriptions, tags, images, and item data may become visible on the site. Private categories are intended to stay off the homepage, but can still be accessed by people who have the direct link.

Advertising And Consent

If advertising is enabled on Duelly Sorted, we may work with Google AdSense and Google certified consent tools to request consent from users in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland where required.

Those consent choices can affect whether ads are shown, whether ads are personalised, and how advertising-related storage or measurement technologies are used.

Retention And Your Rights

We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed to operate the site, maintain rankings and moderation records, handle abuse or legal issues, and meet any applicable legal obligations.

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to ask for access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability. You may also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you believe your data has been handled unlawfully.

Questions Or Requests

If you have a privacy question or would like to raise a data-related concern, contact help@duellysorted.com.

Cookie Information

Cookies

Duelly Sorted uses a small number of cookies and similar storage features so the site can function properly and remember session-related state.

Essential Cookies

Essential cookies are used to keep sessions working, maintain group context, and support secure operation of the site.

Without these, parts of the voting flow, shared group experience, or session continuity may not work as expected.

Analytics

The site also uses Google Analytics to understand site traffic and usage trends. That helps identify which pages are being used, where people drop off, and where the experience needs work.

If advertising is enabled, Google AdSense and associated consent systems may also use cookies or local storage to support ad delivery, ad measurement, fraud prevention, and consent choices.

Managing Cookies

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Where required, you may also be shown a consent message that lets you manage advertising and measurement choices directly on the site.

Blocking some cookies or declining some consent choices may affect how well parts of the site, analytics, or advertising-supported features work.

Accessibility Commitment

Accessibility

Duelly Sorted is being developed with the aim of being usable across desktop, tablet, and mobile, and that includes making the experience clearer and more accessible over time.

Current Focus

We aim to support readable layouts, clear focus states, keyboard-friendly navigation where possible, and meaningful text alternatives for category imagery.

Because the site is still evolving, some pages or interactions may not yet meet the same standard across every device or screen size.

  • Responsive layouts across phone, tablet, and desktop
  • Clear navigation and button states
  • Ongoing work on readable content structure and interaction clarity

Report An Issue

If you hit an accessibility barrier, email help@duellysorted.com with the page you were using, the device or assistive technology involved, and what made the experience difficult.

That feedback is useful and directly helps shape future fixes.
